Academy 2nds V Limavady 2nds  (9-10-10)

Academy dominated from the start, not allowing Limavady out of their own half, although with all the good early pressure, turnovers in the last five metres killed most of Academy’s attacks.
A catch and drive from an attacking 5m Academy lineout drew in the defence, so when the ball was released early, outhalf G.Davis was able to crash over for the opening try (7-0, 28-mins).
Fullback, A.Crowe nearly extended the lead with a solo run from the halfway, but was tackled just short of the line, and the ball was turned over again (7-0 halftime).

Limavady started the second half with only 14 men (No.8 retired injured), but is was not long before the sides were level as R.Henderson was yellow carded after 50-mins for handling in the ruck (only justifiable if he had taken part in the ruck).

He returned for a 5m scrum on Limavady’s line, and after several drives by 1-off forwards, G.Davis took the ball on the switch to power over again and Keith Dobbin  adding his second conversion  (14-0,  62 mins).

Academy nearly extended their lead, when K.Dobbin intercepted a Limavady quick throw, and again when M.Nichol  intercepted in the centre but alas the ref called them both back due to some earlier infraction.
